Східний Світ. №3. — К.: 2012. — С. 64-70This article is dedicated to the history of the traders and craft production in Dasht-i Qipchaq. Kipchak craftsmen produced only thing necessary for everyday life (clothing, shoes, tools, weapons, harness). Some craft occupations were the only female and only male. Womens were seamstresses, and men were carpenters and blacksmiths. Kipchaks bought luxury goods from neighbours. Usualy it was the clothes from expensive fabrics, jewelry and mirrirs. Kipchak aristocrats enjoyed foreighn made luxury. Kipchaks traded goods for goods. Kipchaks sold slaves and libestock products to eastern countries. The slave trade was a profitable business amonf Kipchakian rulers. The prisoners were most popular commodity. They were both from Rus' and other states, and their own (Kipchak) enviroment.
