Images are often quite distant from reality. The fine print of the National Education Policy 2020, as well as the track record of successive Indian governments in education, reveals that some of the very ideas that are causing much enthusiasm regarding the policy, in fact, have very different meanings from what is believed. This is a tiny effort towards exposing such mistruths and to try to understand what awaits Indian citizens and imagine what Free, Equal and Scientific Education for All, as a right not a marketable commodity, will look like.
