The 44-gun Frigate USS Constitution
Book information
Description
Изображения: цветные и черно-белые рисункиUnited States 44-gun frigate Constitution: Sails S. Rigging Plan of 1817, by Charles Ware. With the ship laid up in ordinary at the Boston Navy Yard from late 1815 to 1821, without sails and with most of her masts and yards lowered or removed, Ware must have relied on active frigates of that period to construct this rig. The ensign shown is with thirteen stars and thirteen stripes, which dates from 1777 to 1795, too early for the ship as shown.
