It includes statistics on size, distribution, and trends in national populations; natality, fetal mortality, infant and maternal mortality, general mortality, nuptiality, and divorce. Where possible, data is shown by urban/rural residence. The volume also provides technical notes on how to use the data, a cumulative index, and a listing of the issues of the Yearbook published to date. All textual information is presented in both English and French.
