Handbook of silicon photonics
Book information
Description
The handbook starts with a set of chapters (Chapters 1 to 7) where the basics of silicon as an optical material are introduced. These chapters are followed by Chapters 8 to 10, where the different building blocks needed to drive silicon photonic integrated circuits are presented. Once the building blocks are available, the next issue is their integration in complex photonic integrated circuits. This is the subject of Chapters 11 to 13. Applications of silicon photonics in different fields from data communication or optical interconnects are reported in Chapters 14 and 15.
