The IAB-International Authorisation Board and the IIW-International Institute of Welding. Approved: January 2012. This document is based upon the Manufacturer Certification System developed by the European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting (EWF), through an Agreement between EWF and the International Institute of Welding (IIW), reached in 2006 at the Annual Meeting of the International Institute of Welding (IIW) in Quebec, Canada. These rules have been developed following the principle of mutual recognition, which has been agreed between the International Institute of Welding and the European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting.
