Description

The Descendants of Melchor De Los Reyes de Ecija have resided in North America for about 4 1/2 Centuries (2 Centuries in Nueva España (New Spain)/present day México and circa 2 1/2 Centuries in Texas). On April 10th, 1576, his son Baltazar De Los Reyes arrived in New Spain and was among the first settlers of this family name to migrate to New Spain. Circa 1773, Baltazar's 5th great-grandson José Lazaro Reyes was the first Reyes to migrate to Colonial Spanish Texas.
