Description

Fütüvvetname-i Bektaşiyye, an Ottoman manuscript registered with the number 816 of Osman Ergin Manuscripts in the Osman Ergin Collection of the IMM Atatürk Library, is presented to the reader with its facsimile as part of the "UNESCO 2021 Ahi Evran, Hacı Bektaş Veli and Yunus Emre Memorial Year". In transferring the manuscript to new letters, the text remains faithful. The verses are not translated into new letters; however, the sura names and verse numbers and their Turkish translations are included in the footnotes. In addition, a glossary containing explanations of some terms is also presented to readers so that the text can be better understood. We hope that Fütüvvetname-i Bektaşiyye, whose introduction was written by Mehmet Saffet Sarıkaya, who is known for his works in this field, will contribute to both fütüvvet and Bektashism studies.
