This book is written for professionals and those who want to become one. Polygon modeling is widely used in the computer visualization. The construction using NURBS, however, is rather mainly used in the engineering and construction. In contrast to the construction with polygons, the Nurbs modeling has some advantages. So, you can construct very precisely. Almost all industrially produced products can be modeled much more precise and faster with NURBS as with polygon techniques. This course is meant to bring a very powerful tool closer to ambitious 3D artists in the area of 3d visualization. If you know both ways of modeling you can choose to most effective way according to the requirements of the product. With the Know-How of this book, you can construct industrial products faster and more precisely than with polygon techniques. About the author: André Kutscherauer is 3D artist in munich, germany. He has worked for many years in the field of 3D visualization. He visualized thousands of designs for a major household appliance manufacturer and create 3D animations for marketing and advertising. In addition to its main activity, he realizes free art projects, is author and worked as a freelance lecturer at universities.
