Description

This book provides updated knowledge on esophageal cancer diagnosis and treatment options.Esophageal cancer has become one of the cancers that can be detected early with the widespread use of endoscopy. Combinations of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgical treatment are used in the treatment. Depending on the planning of the surgery, operation is performed in two or three  anatomical areas such as abdomen, thorax or cervical region. A good preoperative evaluation and postoperative follow-up and treatment are very important. In the book each stage of the disease is explained by different branches with a multidisciplinary approach. The book addresses professionals in oncology, radiology and surgery.
