Description

'There is only one good - knowledge and one evil - ignorance' - thus spoke the great philosopher Socrates. Since time immemorial curiosity in man sought answers for the natural phenomenon that astonished and many times terrorized him. In the process a few attained everlasting fame, but many of them also suffered untold miseries, persecution and even sacrificed their lives. The history is replete with hundreds of such greats who shaped our way of thinking and living. It is beyond the scope of this book to deal with the likes and works of all of them.
