Ltd. developed the elegant little BS1 (renamed SE2), and the the Sopwith SS1 Tabloid in quantity. Most Sopwith fighters were well liked by most of their pilots. The two-seat 1-1/2 Strutter remains a classic and historic type. Substantial progress was made with the endearing Pup, engaging triplane, electrifying Camel, and the enigmatic Snapper and Snark of 1918-19. It was remarkable how much design and development went into production in a mere five years.
