Description

The true story by a British officer who was selected to command one of the first tank companies in World War One. Originally known as "land battleships", the tank was developed in deep secrecy, intended as a weapon to break the stalemated trench war on the Western Front. From their first disastrous attempts in 1916 to their stunning breakouts in 1918, the tank commanders had to learn for themselves how to use a weapon that had never existed before, and turn it into a dominant force on the battlefield.
