This work presents a state-of-the-art review of integrated circuits, systems and transceivers for wireless and mobile communications. The editor has commissioned contributions from researchers focusing on developments in key RF, IF, analogue, mixed-signal components and single-chip transceivers in CMOS technology, a preferred technology for system on chip design.
