Briefly I want to say this made simple english on how dstar works, I have not bought into dstar yet, I didn't quite know how the whole picture came together with external software, GPS, and talking to people across the country, and this book made simple english of it, and is good for anyone new to Dstar or considering DStar if you had not had a demonstration of it. this probably goes into more detail then a demonstration would cover which is good. i received the new edition which covers the newer radios.
