This piece is a confidently strutting two-step march for the piano. Although it has much of the feel of ragtime as it presents its melodies over the expected rhythmically steady accompaniment, it is not officially classified as a rag since it lacks the required syncopation. The music projects a confidently good mood throughout as it proceeds with a high-society strut, and one strain has a somewhat sentimental feel to it that seems to remember some love of long ago.
